Ridiculously In-Depth Interview w/ Tonedeff @ AbcdrduSon.com
Check out this insanely in-depth interview with QN5 founder, Tonedeff, done by writer Aspeum after the sold-out Dirty Acres EuroTour show in Paris, France.
This interview runs the gamut from the meaning of the Archetype cover art, Chico & The Man, Kanye West, Childhood Insecurities to Tori Amos, Fast Rapping and why American girls are liberated.
This interview is available in English AND French. Props to the folks at Abcdr du Son for the in depth questions and support of the New Hip Hop movement in France.

I was really down earlier after the Lakers lost game 2. Hit the blog as usual before I call it a day and got in a slightly better mood when I saw a hefty article on Tonedeff. The read was fuckin awesome. Dope interview. Definitely the most detailed and in-depth interview about you that I’ve read. I feel like it’s been years since I’ve had that deep excitement and connection as a fan. A Piece of Strange definitely triggered it after Archetype, and of course I’ve been excited with Substantial’s success with the music video, but I honestly forgot how Archetpye made me feel years ago. It’s kinda sad cos I feel like as I get older I lose that child fan in me. This definitely brought me back and made me play Fast and Gathered again. I have a renewed excitement for CATM (that was always there), but I hope summer brings good things. I also look forward to spending any free time I have to just sit back and listen to Archetype again. I’ll probably even watch Archetexture for the 1,000th time tomorrow.
Ps. The explanation of the album cover came outta nowhere. Disappointed I never even thought about it. Cool and deep.
